Another Hilton Devaluation
Hilton is increasing award prices once again and some of the top properties are getting way more expensive. Standard rooms at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal for example have now jumped to 190,000 points per night. I was just looking at this property last night and it was priced at 140,000 points per night. It was increased from 120,000 not that long ago.
As reported on reddit, other affected properties include:
- RiverView Ranch Retreat: From 150,000 to 200,000 points per night.
- Calala Island: From 150,000 to 200,000
- Waldorf Maldives Ithaafushi: From 150,000 to 190,000
- Hermitage Bay: From 150,000 to 190,000
- South Bank Turks and Caicos: From 130,000 to 180,000
- Eichardt’s Private Hotel: From 120,000 to 170,000
- Milaidhoo Maldives: From 150,000 to 170,000
- Huvafen Fushi Maldives: From 150,000 to 160,000
- Waldorf Astoria Osaka: From 100,000 to 120,000
On the other hand I see Waldorf Astoria Cancun now priced at 105,000, down from 110,000.
You can still use your Free Night Reward at these properties as long as there is a Standard Room Reward available. But the way things are going, I’m not sure how long it will stay that way.
Guru’s Wrap-up
Hilton has no award chart, so these devaluations with continuously happen with no prior announcement. This latest devaluation at Hilton includes price increases by as much as 26%.
Let me know if you come across any other properties that have gone up in price overnight!
