New Amex Business Platinum Card Terms for Hilton Credit

Amex Business Platinum cardholders get up to $200 in statement credits per calendar year (up to $50 per quarter) when they enroll in the $200 Hilton Statement Credit Benefit  and make eligible purchases directly with a property in the Hilton portfolio. Gift cards were one of the options to use this credit, but they haven’t been available for a while now.

And going forward, they will no longer be an option at all, as Amex has changed the terms for the Business Platinum Card.

The terms under the $200 Hilton Statement Credit benefit now state:

“Effective January 31, 2026, Hilton gift card purchases will no longer be considered an eligible purchase, and you will not receive the statement credit for any Hilton gift card purchases.”

I don’t see this language on the other cards that have this credit for now, the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card and Hilton Honors American Express Business Card.
