Survey Hints at More Hyatt Changes
Hyatt has already revealed big changes to its award chart. Those changes will go into effect in April and include five redemption levels for each category, and prices up to 67% higher in some cases. We also learned that seven properties already changed categories, and more moves will be announced in April.
But Hyatt may not be done just yet. LoyaltyLobby reports that some World of Hyatt members have received a survey about potential changes and overall sentiment toward the program. Some of the things mentioned in the survey include:
- New Tier Above Globalist
- Free Parking and/or Waived Resort Destination Fees going away
- Award Changes
- Top up awards with points
- Award that waives peak-pricing and allows the award holder to redeem at the standard level.
- Members could use their points for Guest of Honor, Club Access, and Suite Upgrade awards, although you can continue to earn them as Milestones as well.
- Possible Premium Suite Award.
- Globalist Concierge gone. It may become a Milestone Rewards option or be available only to members who reach more than 60 nights in a calendar year.
- Milestone Reward updates with benefits starting at 20 nights and ending at 150 nights.
This is just a survey, so we do not know if any of these changes will actually happen. But it does show that Hyatt is thinking about making changes to the program.
