Amazon Issues Gift Cards for Unused Gift of Prime
Update: Amazon has issued gift cards for the exact amount you paid for unused Gift of Prime. Check inbox for email subject “Amazon.com sent you an Amazon Gift Card!”.
In 2022, Amazon increased the price of Amazon Prime from $119 to $139. Before the price went up, Amazon was selling “Gift of Prime” for $119 which would let you lock in the lower price for future renewals.
But there’s bad news for those who purchased multiple Gifts of Prime. Amazon sent out an email today saying that Gift of Prime must be redeemed by February 5, 2025. If not redeemed by that date, then they will be converted to Amazon gift cards for the original amount paid.
