Amex Business Platinum Revamp

American Express will launched the revamped Platinum Card and Business Platinum card on September 18, 2025, with an increased annual fee of $895. While we already knew some of the details for the personal Platinum card, we didn’t have much information about the Business card. Well now we actually have all of the details as well as the welcome bonus that you should expect, thanks to a leak that was first published by Doctor of Credit.

The leak confirms the $895 annual fee, and the $600 FHR credit. It also shows a welcome bonus of 200,000 points which is not super exciting. It also shows that you’ll be able to choose between between a regular or mirror finish card. Let’s check out the full details below.

Welcome Bonus

  • Earn 200,000 Membership Rewards after spending $20,000 or more within the first 3 months.

This is not a very exciting offer considering that we already can find offers for 250,000 points, and we had seen offers as high as 300,000 in the past.

  • $1,200 Amex Travel Online flight statement credit

Guru’s Wrap-up

I expected more changes to be honest, but it looks like the leaked $600 FHR credit is the only major addition. However I doubt many people would consider an extra $600 in value, especially since it’s broken down in $300 every 6 months.

Besides that, the other additions are Leaders Club Sterling status and credits for big spenders who complete $250,000+ on qualifying purchases in a calendar year. There’s also an enhancement in the form of 2x points on key business purchases, which is up from 1.5X.

But the annual fee is jumping from $695 to $895, and the 35% rebate is changing for the worse.

Are you canceling or keeping your cards? Planning to apply now or later? Let me know what you think!
